From South London, The Post, 24/09/2009
......Dawn Trevors runs the Streatham Cats Rescue Group in Hillside Road, which is home to about 50 stray and sick cats.
To pay for their food and vets' bills, she and a team of volunteers sell bric-a-brac and second-hand goods from a stall outside the odeon in Streatham High Road every Saturday.
But from the past nine weeks her spot has been cordoned off while council carries out maintenance work.
Dawn 72 said, "I can't believe they have shut me down. I have been there for years. I don't make much money each week from it, but what I do make pays for their food and cat litter."
Things have got so bad, I have got no food left for them and I am desperate for help to keep going."

Dawn has run the shelter from her own home for 39 years and is well known thought Lambeth. Anyone interested in helping should call Dawn on 0208 671 6358

Please help me to keep cat sanctuary going, say Dawn - 24/09/2009 The Post
