Cat's Story

The story about the cats in the streatham cats rescue group

  • Peter loves the shelter

Peter has been living in the shelter for many years. He is a healthy cat, but Dawn couldn't rehome him because he just loves the shelter. A long time ago, Dawn rehomed Peter to a new home, he was so upset that he tried to ruin everything there: Taking down the curtain, scratch the furniture etc. The new owner has no choice, but to bring him back to the shelter and Peter was very happy. (such a little clever evil)

It's just amazing because Peter is a very quiet cat which I saw him sleeping everytime I go to the shelter.

  • Pumpkin

    Section

Pumpkin comes to the shelter because his owners had a family problem. He is a very playful and adorable cat. He sat on my thigh even we only just met, but later he ran away with his friends and ran around in the shelter. He has a very thick and beautiful tails like those norwegian forest cat. He is healthy and currently looking for a new home. He is a very lovely cat and everyone love him.

  • Andoria

    Section

Andoria has a sickness which requires to have a "massive" tablet regularly. (I need to ask Dawn next time what's the sickness). He is very nice and friendly. While I talk to Dawn, he came and greet me and then sleep near me. I see his eyes are swelling all the time.

  • Belinda

    Section

Belinda is one of the few female cats in the shelter. She is quite alert to stranger. However, if you approach her slowly and get used to you, she becomes friendly to you. she loves some massage on her bump. She is looking for a patient owner and preferrably home without children.

  • Chelsea 1

    Section

Chelsea 1 looks very similar to Chelsea 2, but chelsea is blind. May be because of that, he is very alert to everyone except Dawn. The cat in the far end near to window is Chelsea 1 while the one sitting on the bed is chelsea 2

  • little kitty in the bathroom

    Section

This little kitty was kept inside the shelter's bathroom as I was told he needs to be away from those big cats just in case they may treat this little kitty as an intruder and beat him. This little boy is very chatty and sporty. He first greeted me with a few "meow" and then started to climb from my feet to my chest while I was talking to William in the shelter. He is currenly looking for a new home.

  • The grandpa (I forgot to ask his name :P)

    Section

He is the grandpa in the shelter. Though he is old, he is still healthy and very gentle to those cats around him, so kittens like to milk him (sorry little one) or give him a bit of massage.

  • Mamijo

    Section

Little Mamijo was bought to Dawn because the mistreatment from previous owner. I was told he had a thyroid problem. Dawn said when he first came, he was skinny & sick. He now gain more weight and had more fur. He is currently on medication, but he looks clam and happy in the shelter. The seat near to the front window of common room is his favourite place because he loves to enjoy a bit of sunshine during daytime.

  • Chelsea II

    Section

Chelsea II is a very playful & friendly cat although he suffers from a ear problem. He has about 6 lumps inside his right ear, but luckily, he is still acting like normal cat: love food and playful.
